Loving Her Was Easier Chords

September 12, 2007

Today I heard Tompall Glaser’s version of Loving Her Was Easier Than Anything I’ll EverLovin Her Was Easier/After All These Years Do Again, and I figured I’d post the chords to is since it is one of my favorite songs. This version is different than Kris Kristofferson’s in that the chord progressions are a little different.

Download this song on Tompall Glaser - Country: The American Tradition - Loving Her Was Easier (Than Anything I'll Ever Do Again)

The version I’m posting uses a 7th chord throughout the song, and there is also a little progression at the very end of the song. If you want, you can play this song without the A7 and just play the A. This is in the key of A, so the only three chords you need to know to play this song are A, D, and E. Diagrams of the chords are listed below the song.

For each chord, I’ll list the number of beats to play it in parentheses beside it. Also, I’ll throw in the words/lyrics where the chord changes occur. That will help guide you if you need them to sing along.

The number on the hand correspond to the numbers on the frets. “X” on the fret means don’t play that string, “O” means play it open.
