The Best of Traditional and Classic Country Music

It Was on Every Mix CD I Ever Made

August 16, 2007

Good Lovin’ (Makes it Right) by Tammy Wynette.

At least every one I ever made for a girl. I have a pretty big music collection with a lot more than just country music in it. Of course, girls that I used to date would want me to make mix CDs for them with all types of music. The tradition of putting this song on every one started with a CD I made one for a girl with classic country songs on it. I thought it was really funny, and started putting it on anything I made for a girl I was dating, just to drive home the point.

You gotta be a saint on Sunday morning, a devil on Saturday night

and when you love him do it right

Relax, it was just a joke (sort of). :)

The original was actually a really good mix CD. Some of the other songs on it…

Don’t it Make My Brown Eyes Blue by Crystal Gale
You’re the Reason God Made Oklahoma by David Frizzel and Shelly West
She is His Only Need by Wynonna
You Were Always on My Mind by Willie Nelson
Annie’s Song by John Denver
She’s Got You by Patsy Cline
The Sweetest Thing I’ve Ever Known Is Loving You by Juice Newton
For the Good Times by Ray Price
If I Had a Boat by Lyle Lovett
If We’re Not Back in Love by Monday by Merle Haggard
