George Strait in the 80s and 90s

There is a local country station I listen to quite often–96.7 Merle FM.  They play a lot of classic country music from as far back as the 60s.  They also play some new stuff, but most of the newer stuff they play is tolerable.

Anyway, I was driving home tonight and heard the “Merle Facts” .  They said that George Strait put out 19 albums in 15 years!  That’s amazing!!!

It’s pretty safe to say that George Strait pretty much dominated the country charts in the 80s and into the 90s, but I had no idea of the actual numbers.
