Good Country Movies — Urban Cowboy
May 9, 2007Urban Cowboy was on the other night on CMT. I have it on DVD, but haven’t watched it in a long time. Every time I see it, I’m amazed at how many huge stars are in it…Charlie Daniels, Johnny Lee, Bonnie Raitt, Mickey Gilley. Oh yeah, John Travolta and Deborah
Winger are in it too.
Johnny Lee’s biggest song by far is “Looking for Love”, but I think “Cherokee Fiddle” is his best song. I was just looking at the soundtrack for this movie, and I need to buy it. 18 tracks, and all of them are really good.

What? Bonnie Raitt’s in it? How did I never notice that? Thanks to that
movie, I made up my mind as a teen to pursue all hot cowboys. Somehow
the drinking, cheating, and slapping around didn’t seem like a down side.
Hmmm.
